Huel
A Huel-native food logger built for people who take their nutrition seriously.

challenge
Huel makes nutritionally complete food, but existing tracking apps treat it like any other ingredient. For Hueligans — people who build their daily intake around Huel products — that meant manually logging macros, hunting for products in generic databases, and losing the bigger picture: am I actually hitting my protein, carbs, fat, and fiber targets in a way that works long term? There was no app built specifically for how Hueligans actually eat.
solution
I designed and built Huel Daily from scratch — a focused nutrition tracker built around Huel's product catalog, with the goal of making a complete day of nutrition simple, cost-effective, and easy to understand. The app tracks macronutrients across the full day, surfaces Huel products natively, and helps users build the kind of nutritional awareness that makes the habit stick. I designed it, then built it using Claude Code. It's been part of my daily routine since launch.
The home screen leads with calories and macros — protein, carbs, fat, and fiber — because those are the numbers that matter for Huel users. A daily meal window keeps intake structured without being prescriptive. The product grid surfaces logged items visually, making it easy to see at a glance what's been consumed and what's still available for the day.
